Pilot project in Italy for the creation of a reference model for the 3D digitization of cultural heritage (17 February 2020): ec-europa.eu, by Interactive Technologies, Digital for Culture & Education (Unit G.2);
INCEPTION results have been presented, invited by the EC, at the “6th Meeting of the European Commission’s Expert Group at DCHE” (Digital Cultural Heritage and Europeana, Luxembourg, 5-6 November 2019) focused on implementing the “Declaration of Cooperation on advancing the digitization of cultural heritage”, launched at Digital Day. The INCEPTION platform has been highly appreciated and endorsed by the EC and by the DCHE; the report included a “Proposal for a Pilot Program for digitalizing the representative CH European sites”, foreseeing the use of the INCEPTION platform in at least one representative CH site for each country;
the Department of Architecture, University of Ferrara, in collaboration with the INCEPTION spin-off, signed an agreement with ICCD of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities;
the involvement of the INCEPTION team in the activities of the “3D Content in Europeana” task force has proved how the use of 3D for Cultural Heritage is a short-term objective for the community www.pro.europeana.eu. In the report, the INCEPTION technologies are listed as a unique solution for managing and accessing online CH 3D models using BIM;

3D scanner firmware for Cultural Heritage documentation, based on the INCEPTION Data Acquisition Protocol, developed by the industrial partner Z+F;
the INCEPTION Data Acquisition Protocol is applied as a standard procedure in a regional (Emilia-Romagna) focused on BIM for existing heritage conservation.
